Last Sunday (August 1) I was in our home church in Harlingen, Texas. Anne and I were privileged to start Christian Fellowship Church in Harlingen in 1982. After pastoring there for 20 years we turned the church over to Barry and Susan Jackson and launched out in full time apostolic ministry. It’s always good to go back home to see our friends and to see and hear all that God is doing. I preached there Sunday morning on “Developing a Capacity for Opportunity.” On Sunday night I spoke to all the church leadership about “Going the Second Mile.” I love seeing the church grow and move forward in my absence. Keep up the good work Pastor Barry.

I love visiting all of our churches. But would it be ok for me to tell you I really like attending, worshipping, and ministering at CFC McAllen. Not because of it’s size or location or even because my son is a great worship leader and the pastor. I love seeing the positive changes over the past few years. The mindset, the attitude and the spiritual growth of the people. It’s almost like a new church. There’s excitement in the air. People arrive at church with a sense of expectancy and leave with a smile on their face. I was there this past weekend and will be there again August 8th. If you are in the area check it out.

Anne and I were in Albuquerque this past weekend. We were there for our quarterly visit to our CFC congregation. We arrived on Friday afternoon and were met by our long-time friends Pastor Eddie and Mary Ann Howard. I requested to be immediately taken to one of my favorite places – Garduno’s Mexican Restaurant. On Saturday morning I taught a two hour seminar on “Soaring with you Strengths” which was well attended. Then on Sunday I ministered to the whole congregation on “Going the Second Mile”. I always enjoy my time in Albuquerque, but it was real special having Anne with me.

For the past several months Preacher’s Wife and I have been simplifying our lives. We downsized our home, sold my motorcycle as well as a couple of RV’s that we were not making the most use of. Now we are settled into our new little home and I realized while I was making our life more simple I was possibly making it more complicated for my social network. I consolidated all my blogs, personal, travels and ministry to one website (www.roncorzine.com). This would be very simple for me, but not for my few followers who were only interested in Preacher’s Wife and my daily antics. So we are bringing www.sonofapreacher.com back to the old format. Hope you enjoy. Son of a Preacher

This past weekend (June 26-27) I was with Pastor Chuck Warnock at New Covenant Church in Longview, Texas. I met Chuck many years ago through our mutual friend Ron Hibbert from London, England. We were all ministering together in Bulgaria. Since that time Anne and I have maintained a friendship with Pastor Chuck and Diana.

A couple of years ago I was ask to serve on the Apostolic Advisory Board at New Covenant with Ron Hibbert and David Shibley. It is alway fun to preach at NCC because the people are so responsive to the preaching of the Word. Bless you Chuck and Diana. Keep up the good work.

This past weekend I was in Houston. I ministered at LRC (Life Revealing Community) on Friday night. LRC is Houston’s only ‘Weekend Free Church’. The people gather on Friday night for their time of weekly worship and teaching. It is always good to be with my long time friend Ernie Fitzpatrick and the good people of LRC.

On Saturday and Sunday I was at Ashford Community Church. George Arzymonow is the pastor. I taught a class on “Passion” to the leadership team on Saturday morning. On Sunday morning I ministered to the body on the subject “Great Expectations”. George and Christine are always wonderful host. I love staying in their home. It is so refreshing.
