Sister 470 is New Orleans Bound…

We just returned home Monday from two weeks in Europe and I have been rushing around all week trying to get everything ready for the New Orleans trip. Ron pulled the trailer out Tuesday and has taken it for its annual check up. Today we will wash and finalize her road worthiness. I am so looking forward to seeing all my sister friends and meeting many new ones. At present it looks like I will pull out on Saturday morning and go as far as Beaumont and meet up with some other sisters. Ron so loves New Orleans and he just reminded me that it is so sad that Sisters on the Fly makes a practice of leaving at home children, pets and husbands in that order. He says this is just not right. I think he is missing me already. See you girls soon.

Preacher’s Wife and I enjoy life by RVing together. She is an active member of Sisters on the Fly.Sisters on the Fly is a group of women who have accepted the challenge of doing all they set their minds to do. The group was started in 1999. They have no age or race restrictions. They represent no religion or political group…They range in age from 88 to 21 with most in between. They welcome all women who want to share the adventures of “sisterhood”…This “Sisterhood” has grown to over 1000 women. They restore and decorate their own vintage trailers and then caravan to places of interest…It is all about the participating in outdoor adventures (fishing, camping, horseback riding, shopping and eating) with women of the same mindset…

Their motto: “WE HAVE MORE FUN THAN ANYONE”

Years ago I made a decision to enjoy life’s journey. To this day it’s a decision I’ve not regretted. Along the way I have experienced some hardships, disappointments, and difficulties, but I’ve chosen to embrace the good things that make the journey fun and enjoyable and to endure the hardships that is part of life. I will share here some of the fun, exciting and laughable things the wife and I do as we enjoy the journey together.

Life is filled with choices. Someone said, pain or suffering is a reality but misery is optional. So the kind of life you have is based on the kind of choices you make. I realize there are some things we experience in life that comes without a choice. But what you do with, and how you respond to those experiences is very important. One of my earliest life changing choices was when I chose to become a christian. My life has been different from that day til now. It has effected other choices that I have made that has enabled me to enjoy the journey through this life. I’m not trying to convert the world. I am simply saying I made a choice that has changed my life. What you choose is your business. But remember, generally speaking, what you choose is what you get. But for me, what I have chosen has and is enabling me to enjoy life to it’s fullest.
