Frustrated?
Tired, frustrated, ready to give up? Please don’t! I know at times we may feel like it, but allow me to encourage you to hang in there a little longer. Over the hill or around the next curve the answer or strength you need will appear. Remember the bend in the road is not the end of the road unless you refuse to make the turn, or you just throw up your hands and give up. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT
Lessons For Recession…
You don’t know that God is all you need until God is all you’ve got. That’s why God often allows a shortage, a deficiency, a lack in your life.
If I were to ask you, “What are you lacking today?” you might say, “I need more energy… I need more money… I need more emotional support… I need more creativity… I need more opportunity… I need a job.” All of those things that happen in your life happen really for a reason.
In this series Help Lord I Need A Miracle we’re going to look at the things that cause people to feel hopeless. Today we’re going to look at three incidences in the life of a man named Elijah.
Elijah was about nine hundred years before Jesus Christ. He went through three experiences. They’re all in 1 Kings 17, that teach us lessons on how God wants to do miracles when there are things that are happening in our lives that cause us to lack what we need.
Let me give you a little background of this story.
ENJOYING YOUR JOB…
How do you feel about your job? Maybe you hate it or maybe you love it. But you can learn to enjoy it. I hear someone say, “yes but you don’t have my job?” You’re right but I was thinking at this particular time of high unemployment and economic downturn you should be thankful to have a job. Your job may be goal making or homemaking, you could work in a classroom or a boardroom, but the question is still the same. How do you feel about your job?
Entitlement…
Entitlement – (noun) the fact of having a right to something.
I read this week where the son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett has an old-world spiritual message for today’s money-rich parents: teach your children values and do not give them everything they want.
Peter Buffett is now traveling and telling his story as to how he wound up a “normal, happy”
No limbs and No limits…
It says in James 1:2, “Consider it pure joy, my Brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.”
It seemed like a tall order to “count” hurt, pain and struggle as nothing but “pure joy” when my birth date arrived. My parents were Christians; my Dad was even a Pastor of our church, so that verse was quite familiar to them. However, on the morning of December 4th , 1982… Click Read More and watch his amazing story.
